Fanny is Mary's full sister, who killed herself by overdosing on the opiate drug laudanum.
Lord Byron is the ex-lover of Claire, who fathered a child with her. He later refuses to allow Claire access to their daughter Alba. He concieved the contest that lead to the creation of the famous novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
